J.G. Whittier Middle School
JG Whittier Middle School Athletics are introductory sports programs that promote the academic, physical, psychological and social growth of the student athlete.
Try-outs begin second week of November for all grades.

Soccer is underway! Signups are happen in the Fall. Open to Grades 6, 7, and 8. Please make sure to have a permission slip filled out and turned into Mr. Harris in Room 6.
The athletes should have shin guards and comfortable sneakers or cleats for all practices and games, as well as athletic clothing.
Friday afterschool January through mid-February for all grades.

Dates: 6 Fridays starting January 8th.
Where: Bradford Ski Club.
- 6 week lift only $130.00.
- 6 week lift & lessons, $190.00
- 6 weeks is $105.
- Helmet for 6 weeks is $30.00.
*You can also go to Mountain Dogs on Plaistow rd. in Plaistow and rent for the entire season for a lower cost and a 10% discount. All clothing is also available at Mountain Dogs for a 10% discount.
Transportation: Coach Bus Company will pick up at JG Whittier Middle School, Fee for transportation is an additional $20.00. The bus leaves JG Whittier at 2:35pm. You can also provide alternative transportation rather than using the Coach Bus Company.
Actual ski time pass is from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.
You will be responsible for picking your child up at Bradford Ski.
**There will be proctors at Bradford Ski to help your child with equipment, rentals, lessons etc. The proctor leaves at 6:00pm.
Forms can be picked up in the front office. They need to be brought back by Nov. 14th

Cross country track sign-ups happen in September at lunchtime. Students in grades 5-8 are welcome to join!
Cross-country is underway! The practice meet is Thursday after school at Winnekenni Basin.
Lacrosse and Field Hockey
The Haverhill high school girl’s field hockey coaches will be conducting a series of free field hockey clinics to all middle school girls interested in learning how to play the game. These clinics will be held at Nettle school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 to 4:30. Students will be bussed from JGW to Nettle. Parents will be responsible for the students ride home. There will also be clinics on Saturday morning’s beginning @ 9:00. Parents will have to supply transportation.
