Hello JGW Families,

I hope that you have had a great weekend. The next few days look to be especially hot. Please send your child to school with a refillable water bottle. Proper hydration is going to be very important when the temperatures rise over 90 degrees on Tuesday.  Here are a few more updates. .

PTO FAMILY GAME NIGHT

Thank you to our fabulous PTO who hosted last week’s Family Game Night. It was a great turnout with lots of students and family members playing basketball, volleyball, and board games. The snacks were great including the empañadas! If you could not make it, then please join us next year when we do this again!!!

LOOP PROGRAM AT HHS

There will be no Loop Program classes on Tuesday May 19 or Wednesday May 20 due to MCAS testing. Please remember that the last day for the Loop Program is Wednesday June 10th.

HHS ATHLETICS

HHS athletic team coaches have been contacting us to schedule recruitment visits.  Coaches from the Cheer Team have already been to visit 8th grade students. The following visits are scheduled for the upcoming weeks.

• HHS Football  - Thursday May 21st at 12:30pm

• HHS Girls Soccer - Tuesday May 26th at 12:30pm

• HHS Girls Field Hockey - TBA

MARK YOUR CALENDARS

• May 19 & 20: No Loop program at HHS due to MCAS testing

• May 19: Washington DC Parent Meeting - 5:30PM in the JGW Cafeteria

• May 21: Gr. 5 & 6 Track Meet @ HHS

• May 25: Memorial Day Holiday - NO SCHOOL (School is closed to all staff and visitors)

• June 10: Last day of Loop program classes at HHS

• June 15: 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony 6:00PM

• June 15: 8th Grade Promotion Dance 7:00PM - 9:00PM
