Hello JGW Community,

The Massachusetts Department of Education released the accountability for last school year. JGW showed tremendous growth raising 5 percentiles from the previous year.  Accountability is based on attendance, student growth, and over achievement. We are proud of the growth of the school and reflects the progress we have made. In the upcoming weeks we will be sending home each child’s individual scores plus sending home the school’s report card from the department of education. We are proud of the staff and scholars here at JGW that helped make a big improvement. PTO Movie Night at JGW:

On Friday night September 29th the JGW PTO will show the Disney/Pixar movie Elemental on our new inflatable screen purchased by the PTO. Movie will start at 7pm. Please bring a blanket or a lawn chair to our courtyard area in the back of the school for a night with your community. To attend the movie is free for all JGW community members but our PTO will be selling concessions to raise money for our scholars. 8th Grade: High School

Mrs.Vlahos is in the process of meeting with all 8th grade classes regarding high school options and the transition to high school. All of the information presented to the students is posted in the Grade 8 Guidance google classroom.

If your child is planning on applying to private high schools, please email me directly at jvlahos@haverhill-ps.org as soon as possible in order to meet all deadlines.

JGW BOWLATHON: The 6th Annual JGW BOWLATHON is October 20th at Academy Lanes!! Tickets are $10/student and flyers are available at all lunches. email Mr. Gariepy for more information at robert.gariepy@haverhill-ps.org

COST: Tickets will cost $10 a person. Cash or Check made out to JGW middle school. You can pay beforehand or at the farm the night of.
