JGW 2ND ANNUAL VIRTUAL TRIVIA NIGHT: I just wanted to take the opportunity to all of the families & staff who participated in our 2nd Annual Trivia night on Thursday, 2/17. It was a great deal of fun, with many families winning a great deal of amazing prizes. With that said, I would also like to thank all of the families & staff who contributed prizes & donations to help make this event possible! We look forward to our 3rd Annual Trivia Night….IN PERSON in 2023!!

FEBRUARY NEWS: For the month of February, the school theme has been empathy. Empathy is important for so many reasons. Empathy helps us understand how others are feeling so that we can respond appropriately to a situation. Empathy is important for creating strong relationships with others. Empathy helps us to be more supportive. Star Poet Society winners for the month of February will be selected based on this theme.

Girl’s: The girls basketball team’s season came to an end with a loss in the city semifinals. Congratulations to each of the following student athletes who represented our school on the court this year: 8th grade – Delia E., Katreina G., Lauryn M., Athina P., Niuris R. (Captain), Shaina S., Laila S., 7th grade – Valeria A., Ashley G., Abigail P. and 6th grade – Saige D., Annamaire G., Khadijah J., Teaghen M.. Players are reminded to please return their uniforms to Mr. Demaris after February vacation.
Boy’s: The Boys Basketball team’s season came to an end with a loss in the city semifinals. Coach Kelly would like to thank all of the boys for their hard work and determination throughout the season. The team was led by an amazing group of 8th graders who never gave up in any of the games. These players represented our school well both on and off the court. Players are reminded to please return their uniforms to Coach Kelly after February vacation.
