Hello JGW Community

First full week after a little break. Scholars got right back to work and teachers focused on building community and reviewing routines in the building.

Halloween Costumes: As a middle school we do not have a costume parade like at the elementary level. Please do not let your child bring a mask or wear makeup for Halloween.

Basketball Sign Ups and Tryouts: Sign up sheets will be in the cafeteria starting today Friday October 28th. Tryouts for girls and boys are looking to be the week of November 7th. Once we have dates and times we will send it along to families.

JGW 4th ANNUAL THANKSGIVING FEAST

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 16th.  5:30-7 PM

A tradition at JGW is back!! We will have our community Thanksgiving dinner here at JGW and we are inviting you, your scholar, and your family. On Wednesday November 16th please come for a night of food, games, music, and crafts. This is a wonderful event to bring our community closer together. All you have to do to attend is fill out a form: JGW THANKSGIVING FEAST. If you have any question please email Ms. Midolo at tmidolo@haverhill-ps.org

Social Media Challenge: We would like to raise awareness to families regarding the “hot chip challenge” students have been participating in this challenge earlier in the week . We’ve had a few nurse visits consisting of upset stomach/vomiting, a burning sensation in the eyes, and students needing water. Please be on the lookout for any unusual looking bags of chips that appear to be spicy. I’ve attached a picture below of what these chips may look like.
