Hello JGW Community
As we enter the month of November the school will be focused on showing gratitude. We will have our STAR Poet Society meetings, pep rally, spirit week, and other events to model how to show gratitude to our community.

Friday November 11th- Veterans Day
STAR POET Society: One this coming Thursday 11/10 during our WIN block, our grade levels meet in the gym for a community meeting to review our core values, be updated on important events, play games, and we award our STAR POETS/SCHOLARS OF THE WEEK.
Model UN TEAM: The Model UN team is back at JGW!!!! If you would like to have your scholar join. The first meeting is Monday 11/7 after school in Ms. Frankoff’s room (room 4). Our team is made of grades 6-8. These are some of the more competitive teams to make. Currently we have 60 plus boys signed up for tryouts with approximately 15 spots. In February and March for 5th grade and any scholar that does not make the team we will have intramural basketball at JGW after school. More to come.
JGW 4th ANNUAL THANKSGIVING FEAST
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 16th. 5:30-7 PM
A tradition at JGW is back!! We will have our community Thanksgiving dinner here at JGW and we are inviting you, your scholar, and your family. On Wednesday November 16th please come for a night of food, games, music, and crafts. This is a wonderful event to bring our community closer together. All you have to do to attend is fill out a form: JGW THANKSGIVING FEAST. If you have any question please email Ms. Midolo at tmidolo@haverhill-ps.org

- Thursday: 11/17 Wear BLUE for ENCOURAGEMENT
- Daily Challenge: Give someone a compliment!
- Friday: 11/18 Wear RED for SELF LOVE
- Daily Challenge: Think of something you did WELL this week, and give yourself a pat on the back!
Pep Rally: On the half day before the Thanksgiving break we will be having a pep rally. In the new JGW pep rally 5th grade competes against 6th and the 7th grade will face off against the 8th grade. We will have musical chairs, a math relay race, and other games.
