Progress Reports/Parent Teachers Conference

Progress reports for scholars will be available Wednesday October 25th. Parent Teacher Conferences will be Thursday October 26th 6:00pm-7:30pm. Teachers will be sending out sign ups. These meetings can be in-person or on google meet.

Homework Help: We have homework help every morning for all students, this takes place in our art room from 8:05 am-8:30 am. If your child needs a little extra support the staff of JGW is always available during this time in the morning 

PTO Movie Night at JGW: 

Tonight Friday  October 13th the JGW PTO will show the Disney/Pixar movie Elemental on our new inflatable screen purchased by the PTO. Movie will start at 7pm. Please bring a blanket or a lawn chair to our courtyard area in the back of the school for a night with your community. To attend the movie is free for all JGW community members but our PTO will be selling concessions to raise money for our scholars. 

BOYS BASKETBALL TRYOUTS:

8th Grade Boys: Friday October 13th; 3pm-4:30pm

6/7th Grade Boys: Friday October 20th; 3pm-4:40pm

These are the first tryouts of the year. We will have more dates in October and November because of the volume of scholars that try out for our boys team. We only select about 12 kids. We will have a basketball tournament for ALL scholars in March. 

Make up date try outs for anyone that misses the two try outs: Friday October 27th 3pm-4:30pm

Annual JGW   “Pumpkin Stroll”

Where:  Outside at JGW (please park on Pentucket side)

When:  Wednesday, October 18th 

TIME:   6:30~ 8:00 pm

How to Participate…

We are asking all families to carve your best Jack-O-Lantern(s) and drop them off at our school between Monday, October 16th and Wednesday, October 18th(please do not bring pumpkins prior to this date).

 ***If your student wants to bring their pumpkin home for Halloween ~ you MUST take it home after the event is over.  All  pumpkins will be thrown out at the end of the event.***

Bring your Family and join us the evening of October 18th to stroll down our Pumpkin Walkway!! 50/50 Raffles are $1.00 per ticket and will be drawn at 8 pm.  Come in Costume (Best Costume Ribbons) and bring a small bag to hold your treats from our TEACHER TRUNK or TREAT!!!

Pizza, chips & a water for sale~ $5.00 per meal 

(Money from 50/50 to go to JGW School Store for Students)

Jack-O-Lanterns will be lit up for you to admire, so get Creative and Have fun Carving some exciting creations!

Feel free to bring more than one Jack-O-Lantern to the school.
