The memo has many dates for end of the year activities. JGW is busy as we head into the spring!!

- NJHS Ceremony: Wednesday May 22; 6pm
- Sports Banquet: Wednesday May 29; 6pm
- 8th Grade Washington DC: June 3rd-6th
- Field Day: Tentatively Friday 6/7 (during school day)
- 8th Grade Canobie Lake: Monday June 10
- 8th Grade Moving-on/Dance: Tuesday 6/11*
- 6pm Moving-On Ceremony
- 7pm-9pm Dance
- Last Day: Wednesday 6/12 (Half Day)*

Track and Field Team: We have had sign ups in the cafeteria this past week and upcoming week. The season starts in May. If you have any questions please contact the JGW coach Mr. Gariepy at robert.gariepy@haverhill-ps.org
Dance Club: Ms. Hamel will host a Dance Club in room 3 after school. This club is for any level dancer or even students who have never danced before. Dance club will be a Contemporary Dance Class- it will NOT be a cheer or hip hop dance class. If you are interested in taking Dance- reach out to Mrs. Hamel at mariclare.hamel@haverhill-ps.org. Dance club will begin on Monday, March 11th. Dance Club will be every Monday until 4:30 pm.

Moving-on Dance Team (PTO): We need a team of families to help plan the 8th grade dance after the Moving-On ceremony. The group of parents work with our PTO to plan the dance for our scholars. We need volunteers for this team. The next PTO meeting will be March 13th at 6pm if you like to attend to start the planning process. March is a great time. If you want to be part of the team and can not make the 13th please email me your name and I will get it to the PTO.
JGW Basketball March Madness: As of right now do not have enough teams signed up at this point to hold March Madness. We have been reminding students at morning announcements but if families want to remind that would be great. Students MUST have their Participation Sheet filled out and returned to Mrs. Hamel by next Wednesday~ money is not due until the last week of March. Get those forms in so we can hold this awesome event!
This is our annual basketball tournament for any scholar that wants to play, it also serves as a fundraiser for our PTO. If someone is interested in playing in our MARCH MADNESS tournament to be held at the end of March- please see Mrs. Hamel for a sign up sheet or sign up in the cafeteria during lunch.
Teams must have 5 players/ teams can be made up of any five students from any grade. Sign ups are $2.00 per player/ $10.00 per team- money is due the week before the tournament. Last year the North Carolina Tar Heels team won the tournament~ let’s see who’s the team to beat this year!
